What can I expect at a Riley's Table event?
As guests arrive, we gather at a reception with beverages and passed hor d'oeuvres, to mingle and settle in. We then hear from our host farmers. We sit down for a multi-course meal prepared by our chef in the outdoor kitchen. Dinner is served with carefully-chosen wine pairings for each savory course.Our meal is always cooked by Chef Hannah Riley and her team, she highlights the provisions of our location and other area farms. Ingredients are sourced from local purveyors and artisans as well as being fresh and seasonal.
How long are dinner events?
Events are typically about 4 hours
Can you accommodate guests with dietary restrictions or food allergies?
We are able to accommodate limited dietary requests. These include vegetarian/pescatarian diets and celiac allergies. If you have other dietary limitations for religious reasons, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can you accommodate children at the events?
Riley's Table is intended for adults. Due to the length of the event and out of respect for all of our guests, please do not bring children.
Is there alcohol at Riley's Table events?
Yes. The ticket price includes a welcome beverage and wine pairings with dinner. We also offer non-alcoholic beverages at all events. For your safety, we suggest that you arrange for a designated driver or plan for a driving service to get you home safely.
What is the price per person and what is included in that price?
Tickets start at $225 per person (plus a ticketing service fee and sales tax), and can vary depending on the event. The ticket price includes welcome beverages and passed hor d'oeuvres plus a seated four-course meal with wine pairings. Also a local musician and valet parking included.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment online only. You can use any major credit card (Visa, MasterCard or AMEX). Cash or check orders cannot be processed.
How do I make a reservation?
Go to the Farm Dinner page of our website. Once you select the date of the dinner you would like to attend, click the quantity of tickets needed and checkout. You will be taken to a new page where you can input your order information. When making your reservation, please include all of your contact information (including email address and phone number) so we can communicate with you effectively. After you make your reservation, you will receive a confirmation email from us. If you have any questions about the order process, please reach out.
Do you take reservations for larger parties?
We are happy to accommodate large parties of five or more to sit together. If you have a large party, let us know when you arrive at the event so we can arrange to have you seated together.
When will I receive directions to the farm and other important information about the event?
We send out invitations to our confirmed guests two weeks prior to the event. These will include directions to the farm, helpful hints on farm attire, and all finalized dinner details. After making a reservation, please make sure to allow emails from email@example.com in your spam settings, so as not to miss further communication from us.
What if I have tickets but I can’t attend the event?
We do not offer refunds. However, you are welcome to transfer your tickets to someone else. Please contact us at least 24 hours prior to the event so we can enter the new guest’s information. Otherwise, you can tell them to use your name at arrival. Our Facebook page www.facebook.com/alternativechef/ is a good place to post tickets if you cannot attend an event; people often look there for last minute seats. Transferring funds for the tickets is your responsibility.
Is there a waitlist for sold out events?
Because tickets are non-refundable, once a dinner is sold out, it is very unlikely that tickets will become available . Contact us within one month of the event you are interested in attending, to see if any spots have opened up.
Are there a certain number of guests required?
Yes, we have a 25 person minimum to hold an event. If the minimum is not met we will offer refunds or the option to come to a future dinner of your choosing
Will I be able to see a copy of the menu before I arrive at the dinner?
The menu will be revealed as guests sit at the table. Our chefs design the menu in the weeks leading up to the event, based on the freshest ingredients available from the farm. We want the meal to be seasonal, artistic, and spontaneous!
What should I wear to a Riley's Table Dinner?
Our dinners take place in the fields of a working farm. Please dress accordingly and remember to wear appropriate shoes. It can get cold at night, even after a warm day, so please come prepared with a jacket or blankets to keep you comfortable. We anticipate many beautiful sunsets this coming season and recommend you bring a hat or sunglasses as needed. Guests do tend to dress up a little for our events, however jeans and casual attire are not out of place.
Do you allow well-behaved dogs at the events?
Due to health department regulations, dogs are not allowed at our events. Please leave your pets at home.
Can I have a private event hosted?
Yes, we host private events for different occasions and it is the perfect way to celebrate!
